About Red Zebra Broadcasting

Red Zebra Broadcasting is based in Rockville, MD and currently operates seven radio stations.

Red Zebra Broadcasting’s original three Washington DC stations went on the air in July 2006 as a sports radio simulcast. Since then the company has added stations in DC and expanded into Richmond.

Red Zebra Broadcasting operates ESPN 980, the flagship radio station for Washington Redskins play-by-play with Larry Michael, Rick "Doc" Walker, Hall of Famer Sonny Jurgensen and Chris Cooley. WTEM, WWXX and WWXT make up ESPN 980. The Washington Redskins broadcasts are heard on over over 30 affiliated radio stations throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region and as far west as Texas.

ESPN 980 is also the exclusive home of the play-by-play broadcasts for Maryland Terrapins Basketball and Football and University of Virginia Football and Basketball.  It's the home for the NBA and NBA Finals, the NFL, NCAA Football and the College Football Playoffs.  ESPN 950 is the home of the Washington Nationals in Richmond, as well as the Richmond Spiders football and basketball, Old Dominion University football and basketball and the PGA Majors.
